Description

PURIZE Regular Size Short activated carbon filters are engineered for standard-width joints — the everyday essential in PURIZE’s industry-leading activated carbon filter lineup. At approximately 7.5mm in diameter with a shortened, comfortable length, these filters deliver the full PURIZE activated carbon experience in the most universally compatible size for regular rolling papers and standard pre-rolls.

At the heart of each filter is Cleaned Coconut Carbon — activated carbon sourced from coconut shells, then meticulously washed and sieved to eliminate impurities and carbon dust before it enters production. Coconut-derived activated carbon is among the most effective natural filtration materials available: its high porosity and enormous surface area per gram allow it to capture a broad spectrum of harmful combustion byproducts — tars, benzene, carbon monoxide, phenols — while leaving the aromatic character of your herbs beautifully intact.

Heat-resistant ceramic caps on both ends ensure structural integrity and filter consistency throughout your session. Unlike paper or cardboard tips, these ceramic ends won’t collapse, distort, or release any material regardless of draw intensity or session duration. They also form a reliable barrier that keeps every activated carbon granule securely inside the filter.

The PURIZE Regular Size Short strikes the ideal balance between effective filtration and smooth draw resistance — comfortable and effortless to inhale through, yet genuinely reducing the irritants that cause harsh coughing and throat scratch. Made to precise tolerances entirely in Germany, quality is completely consistent filter to filter.

The 50-pack comes in a resealable moisture-resistant bag to keep filters fresh and clean between uses. For regular-width rollers who want a noticeably cleaner, cooler, and more enjoyable smoke every time, PURIZE Regular Size Short is the upgrade your routine deserves.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a filter tip or crutch used for?

A filter tip, also called a crutch, sits at the mouth end of a joint and gives it a firm structure to hold onto and draw through. It also helps stop loose herb from being pulled into your mouth as you smoke.

What's the difference between a plain filter tip and an activated carbon filter?

A plain filter tip is just rolled paper or card, offering structure but no added filtration. An activated carbon filter includes a small segment of activated carbon inside the tip, which actively traps tar and particulates from the smoke as it passes through.

How does activated carbon filtration work?

Activated carbon is an extremely porous material with a huge internal surface area, and airborne particles stick to that surface as smoke passes through it. This adsorption process pulls out a portion of the tar and particulates that would otherwise reach your mouth and lungs.

Are activated carbon filters reusable?

It depends on the format. Simple paper-and-carbon tips are designed for single use and are discarded after one joint, while glass-encased filters can be cleaned out and reused many times, making them a more durable, longer-term option.

Does an activated carbon filter change the taste or draw?

Many people find carbon filters give a smoother, cooler draw since some of the harsher particulates are filtered out before reaching your mouth. Filter quality varies, so a well-made carbon filter should still let air flow smoothly without feeling restricted.

What size filter should I use?

Filter diameter needs to match your rolling papers so the joint holds together properly. Most of our filters are built to a slim, widely compatible size, but it's worth checking the exact diameter listed on each product page before ordering.

How do I use a filter tip when rolling?

Roll the filter into a small accordion or spiral shape and place it at one end of your rolling paper before adding your ground herb. It acts as an anchor for your joint and gives you a sturdy end to hold and draw from.

Are carbon filters and rolling tips legal to buy and use in Europe?

Yes. Filter tips and activated carbon filters are ordinary smoking accessories and are legal to purchase and use across Europe. As always, what you choose to smoke with them is subject to your local laws, so check the regulations in your country or region if you're unsure.
