Every spring, Barcelona becomes the capital of the cannabis world. Spannabis, the largest cannabis expo on the planet, brings together growers, extractors, brands and tens of thousands of visitors — and each edition ends with one question on everyone’s lips: which product deserves to be called the best CBD product of the show?
At the most recent edition, the answer came from a brand that keeps raising the bar: Cali Terpenes, whose CBD distillate cartridges beat everything else on the floor. Here’s why they won, and what you should look for when choosing a vape product for yourself.
? Cali Terpenes: what won “Best CBD Product” at Spannabis?
? The winning formula: distillate, not oil
The award went to Cali Terpenes — specifically to a vape cartridge filled with purified CBD distillate rather than the classic CBD e-liquid. Distillate is a refined extract where the cannabinoids are concentrated and the plant waxes, fats and chlorophyll are removed. The result is a thick, clear oil that vaporizes evenly and delivers a consistent dose with every puff.
? A cannabinoid profile that stands out
What impressed judges and visitors was the sheer density of the extract. The Cali Terpenes cartridge contained roughly 91% total cannabinoids — around 54% CBD supported by meaningful levels of CBG (12%), CBE (8.7%), CBDV (2.7%) and trace CBN and CBC — a full-spectrum effect with THC kept under 0.2%, well within European legal limits.
? Nothing but extract and terpenes
The ingredient list was just as important as the numbers. No propylene glycol, no vegetable glycerin, no MCT oil, no diluents and no GMO-derived material — only cannabinoid distillate and cannabis-derived terpene profiles for flavour, Cali Terpenes’ signature. Fewer additives means a cleaner taste and less residue on the coil.
? Why cartridges are taking over the CBD market
⚡ Speed and precision
When you inhale vaporized CBD, it reaches the bloodstream faster than any edible or capsule. For people who use CBD as part of a daily routine, a cartridge offers measured, repeatable doses — two or three puffs, not a dropper and a guess.
?️ Discretion and convenience
A cartridge is small, odour-light and needs no grinding, rolling or cleaning. It fits in a pocket, works with a standard 510 battery, and travels far more discreetly than flowers or hash.
? Stability matters
Quality distillate is resistant to crystallization — the annoying moment when CBD solidifies inside the cartridge and blocks the airflow. Producers achieve this through careful blending of minor cannabinoids, which is one reason full-spectrum distillates cost a little more but perform far better.
✅ How to choose a quality CBD vape product
? Always ask for the COA
A certificate of analysis from an independent laboratory is non-negotiable. It confirms the CBD content on the label and, most importantly, that THC stays below the legal 0.2% threshold. No COA, no purchase.
?️ Read the ingredients, not the marketing
If the label lists PG, VG, MCT or vague “natural flavours”, you are looking at a diluted e-liquid, not a distillate. True distillate cartridges keep the ingredient list short: extract, terpenes, nothing else — exactly the standard the Cali Terpenes winner set.
?️ Check the hardware
Even the best oil fails in a poor cartridge. Look for ceramic coils and food-grade materials, and buy from shops that store products properly — heat and sunlight degrade cannabinoids quickly.
