Amnesia Lemon (Cup Winner)

Feminized cannabis seeds are bred to produce almost exclusively female plants, typically around 99% of the time. Since only female plants produce the resin-rich buds growers want, feminized seeds remove the guesswork of sexing plants and growing out unwanted males.

Breeders trigger a female plant to produce male pollen sacs, usually by spraying it with colloidal silver during early flowering, which disrupts the plant's hormone signaling. That pollen carries only female genetics, so pollinating another female with it produces seeds that grow into female plants.

Every seed has a strong chance of becoming a bud-producing female, so you don't waste time, space, lights, or nutrients raising males you'll have to discard. This makes planning your grow simpler and more space- and cost-efficient.

Feminized (photoperiod) seeds need a light-cycle change to flower and generally take longer to mature (roughly 12-20 weeks), but tend to grow larger and yield more. Autoflowering seeds flower automatically based on age, finishing faster (about 7-12 weeks). Most modern autoflower seeds are also feminized.

Fresh, properly stored feminized seeds from a reputable seed bank typically germinate at a 90%+ rate and produce female plants around 99% of the time. Seeds usually sprout within 24-72 hours under warm, moist conditions.

Yes, feminized seeds are one of the most beginner-friendly options because they remove the need to identify and cull male plants, leading to more predictable growth and fewer surprises.

Not usually, since there's no male plant present to pollinate them. However, significant stress (temperature swings, light leaks, physical damage, or nutrient problems) can trigger a female plant to develop hermaphroditic traits and self-pollinate.

Store feminized seeds in a cool, dark, dry place, ideally in an airtight container in a refrigerator. Properly stored seeds commonly remain viable for 2-5 years, though germination rates gradually decline the longer they're kept.
